Assinment 1

After I got through the tears of joy and hugs from my Dad and my sister Sarah, I started to talk about what has happened since the time they left to go get the Insulin; Naomi! Since I walked in I have been too overjoyed to see my sister and my Dad safe and alive, I forgot about Naomi.
"Naomi! I-" I exclaim.
"Is going to be fine." I hear the soft voice of Pastor Dave."She has gotten the Insulin and resting now."
"Can I see her?" I ask still baffled I forgot about her.
"That will depend on how fast she can recover from her near death experience...you know she would have died if it weren't for you. You risked your life to save hers. It takes a lot of courage to do something like that, you must be very brave, your father is lucky to have a brave life saver like you." he says with a light smile on his dusty face.
"That I am." says my father sincerely.
"Thanks." I say looking down at my feet blushing.
"You should get some rest, you have traveled far. Don't worry you're safe here," Pastor Dave says looking at the red orbs that are my eyes. They're mostly red from crying though."There are some benches over in that corner that you can sleep on." he says pointing to a little corner with a little bench littered with rubble.
"Thanks, again." I say with some relief that I can finally get some sleep not worrying about mobs and gangs. I make a mental note to go see Naomi in the morning.

"Josh wake up, Josh!" I feel a small hand on my back nudging me.
"What?" I ask as I sit up. My body stiff from sleeping on the small bench.
"Naomi wants to see you." my sister says.
"Is she okay?" I ask worried.
"Yeah." she says seeing the look on my face.
We walk down a crumbling hallway that I was sure was going to collapse on us. We stopped near a nice room that has a small bed in the middle, with the healthy Naomi on it.
"Josh!"she screams.
"Hey Naomi." I walk over to the bed and sit gingerly on the side. "How are you feeling?" I ask looking her in the face.
"Fine I feel as healthy as a horse. I'm so glad that you're okay, Pastor Dave didn't let me go see you, saying that I need to rest." she says."Can I talk to Josh alone please?" she asks Sarah.
"Sure." my sister agrees. After my sister leaves the room I couldn't help but think about what Naomi wants to tell me.
"Josh, I want to thank you for saving my life. I'm sure my parents will pay you any price for saving my life." she says with a face that reminds me of my Dad when he asks me what I want for dinner.
"It's okay, you can keep your money, my reward for saving you is knowing the fact that you will live." I say blushing.
"I can at least give you this." she leans forward and ever so lightly kiss me on the lips, I couldn't help but give in.
"Wow...that was amazing" I say finally taking a breath.

The End
